The District Chief Executive for Kwahu Aframplains South, Hon. George Yaw Ofori has edged his people to support him to deliver his mandate as the agent of development and to "fix the district" to make the district a better place. Hon. George Ofori said this at Tease the district capital in the eastern region when a community called Bonkron in his district benefited from rural electrification expansion. Speaking to the media, Hon. George Ofori started that it is during his tenure of office that the people of Kwahu Afram-plains South has witnessed a massive developmental projects in all sector such as Education, Infrastructure, Agriculture, Health and Security. He finally appealed to the government to re-appoint him as the District Chief Executive to complete what he has started to make the government proud of appointing him to represent him in the District. The District Chief Executive for the Afram Plains south District Assembly in the Eastern region Honourable George Yaw Ofori popularly called "Adwuma wura" fights darkness at one of the village called Bonkrom thereby connecting them to the national grid with street lights to his beloved people in the village. Not too long a go Hon. George Ofori (DCE) announced yet another social initiative christened, Operation Brighten Every Corner ( OBEC) to lift up some national installations such as villages, schools, Health facilities etc. within the District. The District Chief Executive who is popularly hailed by his District as “Adwuma Wura, Messiah,Captain ” has assisted and also tireless use his office through the Government to bring electricity to villages in honour of his fight against darkness in the District. E/R: AFRAM PLAINS SOUTH A MOBILE MONEY VENDOR HAS BEEN ATTACKED IN EKYE AMANFROM.

Information reaching our news desk from our reporter Bra solo at around 9:30pm yesterday states a mobile money vendor who has closed from work was attacked by two unknown armed robbers in Ekye Amanfrom.  Speaking to the victim by our reporter,  our reporter said he explained that the armed robbers attacked him immediately he entered his house and they shot a gun but God been so good on his side, he was not hurt with the gun bullet but hit a the wall. He further said that the guys quickly left the scene after they took huge amount of money he held in his bag.  The vendor therefore disclosed that he don't know the actual amount of money in the bag. The police and the citizens came over to help but the armed robbers took to their heels and no where to be found. The youth in the town speaking with deep anger has sent a strong warning that, this should be the first and the last because they are ever ready and vigilante for armed robbers. E/R: Hon. Betty Krosbi Mensah Donates to Private School Teachers in Donkorkrom

As part of measures to help promote youth participation in the development of the district, Hon.Betty Krosbi Mensah together with her team had a workshop program for all private school teachers in the district to educate them on the history of Afram Plains, the role of the youth in the development of the district and the way forward. Mr. Fuseni Aminu(Leader of Team Betty) and Hon. Safo George(Assemblyman-Baadu Electoral Area) took turns to do powerpoint presentations on the subject. The legislature admonished all private school teachers as well as the youths not to allow politics to divide them, "we may be divided prior to elections but we must all come together and fight for the betterment of our beloved constituency after elections".  The development of the constituency is in our own hands, United we stand, Divided we fall.
