*DISREGARD THE PURPORTED EASTERN REGIONAL MUNICIPAL AND DISTRICT CHIEF EXECUTIVES LIST ON SOCIAL MEDIA, IT IS FAKE.*

The Eastern Regional Executives of the New Patriotic Party under the able Chairmanship of Hon. Kiston Akomeng Kissi wishes to state categorically and unequivocally that the list being circulated on social media purported to be the list of Municipal and District Chief Executives of the Eastern Region is FAKE and must be disregarded.

The said FAKE MDCEs list is believed to be causing apprehension and uneasiness among some party faithfuls in the Region.

In some cases, the said FAKE list has resulted in widespread and spontaneous jubilation among other Party Members in the Region.

The Regional Executives wish to use this opportunity to inform Party Members and the entire people of Eastern Region to disregard the said list on the social media and treat it with the contempt it deserves.

The Regional Party wishes to emphasis that the prerogative to appoint MMDCEs lies squarely at the doorstep of the President of the Republic according to the Constitution of the Republic of Ghana and the *Local Governance Act of 2016, Act 936*

The Regional Party is therefore, urging all Party Members to remain calm and wait for the President H. E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to officially announce the genuine list.

Meanwhile, the Regional Party wish to admonished all Members who are either jubilating or tensed to remain calm and wait for the President to officially announce the list of all MMDCEs

The Regional Party continues to encourage Members join hands to work hard in supporting our President H. E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, his Vice H. E. Alhaji Dr. Mahamadu Mawumia and the entire NPP Government to achieve the mandate given to the Party by the Ghanaian people.

I witnessed a very disturbing attitude of some Executives of the Eastern region during the vetting of the Afram Plains South Parliamentary aspirants. I picked on only that Constituency because it is one of the NDC’s strong holds which has lately seen a lot of bashing on the backs of its MP, Joseph Appiah Boateng.  The incumbent on his first attempt did not belong to any branch or obtained a party card but in just 2 months was allowed to contest even with criminal records which the Former General Secretary, Mr. Asiedu Nketia jaws prevy to and made some very genuine claims about this same MP, Joseph Appiah Boateng,Hon. Eric Osei Owusu also contested on similar grounds with no party affliction to branch or bearing a party card. Maxwell Asare Ampadu ( a.k.a Afram Tiger) has successfully submitted his nomination form to contest the parliamentary primaries of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for the Afram Plains south constituency of the Eastern region. The NDC will conduct its parliamentary primaries elections from Friday 25th August, 2023 to Saturday 26th August,2023 respectively in the current eighteen (18) constituency cleared to conduct their primaries after resolving numerous issues in those comstituencies. The 29 Upper Manya Krobo constituency executives of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) have made GH 6000.00 cheque donation to support Hon. Bismark Tetteh Nyarko picking and filling for his nomination forms. The executives at a short ceremony in Upper Manya, Asesewa constituency office expressed strong interest  in him want him to continue to lead the party in the 2024 parliamentary and the  presidential elections.
