The Member of Parliament for Afram Plains North Constituency in the Eastern Region, Hon. Betty Nana Afua krosbi Mensah who double as the Deputy Ranking Member on Gender, Children and Social Protection as well as a member of the Health Committee of Parliament took it upon herself to initiate apprenticeship programs to help reduce the increasing rate of unemployment and teenage pregnancy in Afram Plains North. She presented various items including Deep freezers, Hair Dryers, Sewing Machines, pieces of cloth and rubber basins. A total of 21 young girls recieved Sewing Machines, 10received Hair Dryers, 10women benefited from deep freezers to enhance their fishing activities and promote income generation activities.
