Nana Obeng Yamoah ( Mr Obeng) Beats other news casters in the Eastern Region To Win 10th Foklex Best News caster for the Year Award.




The sensational Political show host and news caster of Okwawu fm 96.3mhz and Afram fm 103.3mhz respectively; Nana Obeng Yamoah known the showbiz as Mr. Obeng, has been honoured as the best News Caster of the year in Eastern Region of Ghana at the 10th Foklex Media award which has just ended with massive transparancy.





In a very competitive environment which also saw Mr. Obeng in a category with other News casters / journalist from other media house in the region while every nominee in the category deserved the award, a more deserving one was the one who is noted for his unbiased, accurate, credible and unadulterated presentation in the Eastern Region of Ghana.

Mr Obeng Yamoah ( Mr Obeng), upon receiving the award at a grand ceremony at Accra International Conference Center thanked his listeners and the tireless efforts of management of Okwawu fm and Afram fm, his able production team and dedicated the award to his listeners and a very encouraging brother, friend in the Media Local Chairman General Akwasi Amoah Nyamekye for his support and encouragement.




Speaking with Mr Obeng Yamoah, he said it categorically that it been the words of encouragement from the multiple award winner Local chairman, he will have not reached this far by the help of the Almighty God.




The award winner also added that he has worked in several radio stations but this award Is something he never dreamt off but through the encouragement and motivational words from Local chairman enlightened him to go for this noble award and here we are.



He also outline the number of radio stations he has ever worked by saying i started my media work from Obuoba fm and move on to Accra Agoo fm , from Agoo fm to Bridge fm as morning show host and now Okwawu fm.

Mr Obeng Yamoah a Godfearring media practitioner gave massive Thanks to God and seek for Gods protection, blessing, mercy for all who help him throughout this fruitful journey and still hoping for more good news "Thank you all. Maxwell Asare Ampadu ( a.k.a Afram Tiger) has successfully submitted his nomination form to contest the parliamentary primaries of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for the Afram Plains south constituency of the Eastern region. I witnessed a very disturbing attitude of some Executives of the Eastern region during the vetting of the Afram Plains South Parliamentary aspirants. I picked on only that Constituency because it is one of the NDC’s strong holds which has lately seen a lot of bashing on the backs of its MP, Joseph Appiah Boateng.  The incumbent on his first attempt did not belong to any branch or obtained a party card but in just 2 months was allowed to contest even with criminal records which the Former General Secretary, Mr. Asiedu Nketia jaws prevy to and made some very genuine claims about this same MP, Joseph Appiah Boateng,Hon. Eric Osei Owusu also contested on similar grounds with no party affliction to branch or bearing a party card.
