AFRAM PLAINS SOUTH NDC PARLIAMENTARY RACE: MAXWELL ASARE AMPADU SUCCESSFULLY FILES NOMINATION FORM
Maxwell Asare Ampadu (a.k.a Afram Tiger) has successfully submitted his nomination form to contest the parliamentary primaries of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for the Afram Plains south constituency of the Eastern region.
The NDC will conduct its parliamentary primaries elections from Friday 25th August, 2023 to Saturday 26th August,2023 respectively in the current eighteen (18) constituency cleared to conduct their primaries after resolving numerous issues in those comstituencies.
The Afram Plains South parliamentary seat is been occupied by NDC since 1992 and the incumbent Member of Parliament Hon. Joseph Appiah Boateng has been in parliament for the past eight (8) years with no development in the constituency.
Speaking to the media after the filing of nomination forms on Friday,11th August,2023 Maxwell Asare Ampadu commended the rank and file of the party for supporting him to submit his nomination form to contest in the upcoming parliamentary primaries this year.
“My sincere appreciation to all delegates and party faithful for your unalloyed support during the submission and filing of my nomination form yesterday 11th August, 2023. God richly bless you for supporting a worthy course”, he appreciated.
He, therefore, seized the opportunity to appeal to the party delegates to vote massively for him to win the primaries and also go ahead to win the Afram Plains South seat for massive development.
“Let me take this medium to appeal to our hardworking delegates to remember me on the election day by voting massively for me to win the primaries and also win the primaries and also win the Afram Plains south seat for our great NDC because this seat is ours and we can not afford to lose it to other party if I am not elected during the primaries. Lots of agitations were laid on grounds that if Maxwell Asare Ampadu the philanthropist is not elected in the primaries, NDC will lose the seat and we all need to rescue the seat by electing me Maxwell Asare Ampadu the perfect man for the job.
He called on the rank and file of the party to stay united and avoid utterances that will divide the party".
Maxwell Asare Ampadu who was a strong member of the party since 1992 and a great contributor in the party, a philanthropist in the constituency has pledged his commitment to run a clean and decent campaign.
He also advised his followers to run a very decent campaign without attacking anybody in the party.
“I have pledged to run a decent and clean campaign so that after my victory, I will not find it difficult to unite the rank and file of the party to win the seat in the 2024 General elections for NDC and I have also advises my followers to run a very decent campaign”, he stated.
He retaliated that when he becomes the Member of Parliament for Afram- Plains south constituency he will establish a financial fund for all the 119 branches and constituency delegates in the constituency as a source of financial assistance to each and every delegates which will be visited or cash –out once in yearly bases to help their farming, fishing, and business.
He also pledged that at the end of his first four (4) years in office as Member of Parliament, he must be able to produce 119 graduates and each from every branch in the constituency from his common fund and other means possible.
He also said in his term as Member of Parliament, unemployment issues in the constituency will be thing of the pass as he has a lot of initiatives for the youth and those unemployed ones.
He further added that his main aim or vision is based on Development, Education and unity. I believe with these strong things Afram plains South is going to be the best constituency in the country.
On his part, Mr. Amankwah the Deputy/assistant constituency secretary and Mr. Martin Nutefe expressed their happiness over the exercise.
They took the opportunity to advise the aspirant and their followers to focus on their campaign messages and avoid any form of personal attack.
“Our common enemy is the NPP; it is not NDC so we must run a clean campaign, we will advise that you engage in a very decent campaign so that there will not be any problem in the party. We strongly believe if we do our things well we will win the parliamentary seat because this seat is for us and shall always be for us”, they advised.
