Immediate Release: *NORTH TONGU CONSTITUENCY IN SOLIDARITY WITH THEIR BELOVED MP- HON. SAMUEL OKUDZETO ABLAKWA*



We, the good people of North Tongu Constituency will like to condemn strongly the legislative rascality being perpetuated by some political hoodlums and hallelujah boys of this abusive and incompetent government. We are not unaware of the expeditious manner in which the Akuffo-Addo - Bawumiah failed government has always resorted to the abuse of the judicial process to always gag and constrict persons who want to hold the government accountable.

Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has become a torn in the bad flesh of this corrupt-ridden and incompetent government hence the dastardly and cowardly haste to use the judicial system to frustrate him and ultimately imprison him.

As an MP, he owes it a duty to exercise his inalienable rights of oversight and responsibility to protect the public purse. The Akufo Addo government has a penchant for fighting anybody who shows an aversion towards corruption.

It will be recalled that, our adorable and affable MP started the war against corruption and misuse of public funds. Some classical examples of corruption and misuse of public funds are the chancery gate saga, the sky-bathing presidential travels and the recently odoriferous and beleaguered national cathedral brouhaha.

Despite the threats and vitriolic attacks waged by some social media mercenaries against the lawmaker, we, the good people of North Tongu remained silent and law-abiding. But we can't continue to stand aloof and akimbo and watch state-sponsored tags harm our MP.

So we are therefore serving a strong warning to the faceless and marauding agents of the state who are bent on seeing the MP imprisoned and cowed into submission.

Again, we also want to serve notice to the government that, should anything happen to our MP without his human right respected, we shall have no other option than to exercise a positive course of action in its clear terms.

A word to the wise is enough

I witnessed a very disturbing attitude of some Executives of the Eastern region during the vetting of the Afram Plains South Parliamentary aspirants. I picked on only that Constituency because it is one of the NDC’s strong holds which has lately seen a lot of bashing on the backs of its MP, Joseph Appiah Boateng.  The incumbent on his first attempt did not belong to any branch or obtained a party card but in just 2 months was allowed to contest even with criminal records which the Former General Secretary, Mr. Asiedu Nketia jaws prevy to and made some very genuine claims about this same MP, Joseph Appiah Boateng,Hon. Eric Osei Owusu also contested on similar grounds with no party affliction to branch or bearing a party card.
