Afram Plains South MP Hooted and chased out of Wawase/Mafi-korpe by angry Party Members. January 16, 2023

The Member of Parliament for Afram Plains South constituency has been hooted and chased out by aggrieved Party Members.

The Party Members at the Wawase/Mafi-Korpe have been complained about the attitude of disrespectfulness on the part of the legislature by not visiting them since they voted for him for the pass two years and also they alleged he manipulated just ended internal elections at the branch level by dropping almost all the old executives and then choosing those he thought supports him.

The agitated party members furthermore hinted that they have seen that the member of parliament have taken them for granted and also he is selfish too.

They added that the MP lacking lobbying skill led to poor nature of their roads in the area and as well in the constituency for a long time now and have not been attended to, also they have no portable drinking water they only rely on the Afram River which posed a lot of health threat to them, no health care center among a lot of things the MP has promised them since they have been voting for him has not seen any light.

According to our reporter on the ground, the MP Joseph Appiah Boateng was in the constituency for that matter the Wawase/Mafi-Korpe branch to offer a thank you Tour after two years of voting him to Parliament but was hooted and chased out by angry party members.

The MP had to be swiftly whisked away by his people he was moving with to avoid anything untoward from happening.

The reporter stated that the angry party members blocked the road to the town leading to the MP and his people creating different road to the said village.

He added that immediately the Presiding Member who was also their electoral Area's Assembly member begun to address the gathering, the agitations from the party members got to the peak leading to the angry party members not allowing the Assembly member to conclude his speech thereby bringing the end of the meeting.

The MP could not speak to the people, he was not allowed to speak, they left like that but the dropped a box of street light, some cash and 15 plastic chairs at our Headman's house said the reporter.

Meanwhile we also doing our best to hear from the side of the MP and also our findings revealed the MP is in the constituency after two years of been voted in to parliament to offer thanks to the electorate in the Ekye Amanfrom zone.
