Press Release:NATIONAL DEMOCRATIC CONGRESS AFRAM PLAINS NORTH
*Press Release*
NATIONAL DEMOCRATIC CONGRESS
AFRAM PLAINS NORTH
2nd March, 2022
The attention of the Communication Team of the Kwahu Afram Plains North NDC has been drawn to an answer to a question asked by the Member of Parliament for the Constituency (Hon. Betty Krosby Mensah).
Hon. Betty Krosbi Mensah asked to know from the Minister for Roads and Highways when works on the Agordeke Ferry Landing Site in the Afram Plains North Constituency would be completed.
In an attempt to justify the woeful failure of the Nana Addo led Government, the Minister for Roads indicated that, the project is currently about 46% complete.
It is really sad, to say the least, that the NPP Government has always taken the people of Afram Plains for fools and that, always tell lies on projects whenever it comes to Afram Plains.
In the last State of the Nation Address delivered by the H.E Nana Addo, he indicated that, the project was 40% completed. A statement and declaration, that received a massive public attack from well meaning citizens from Afram Plains, most especially Joshua Kwasi Tettey, a young youth activist.
For the purpose of setting the records straight, we would like to indicate that, the said project was a self-initiated project by the Youth of Afram Plains North, where they massed up in numbers and got the area filled with sand to aid the ferry land successfully.
After the ferry was brought by H.E John Dramani Mahama in 2016, no major work has ever been undertaken there, either by the Central Government or the District Assembly.
We are therefore calling on the Minister for Roads to furnish us and the general public, the following details as a way of substantiating his 46% completion of the said project;
1. Name of company to which the ferry Landing Site has been awarded to.
2. When last the company was at site.
We would like to also applaud Hon. Betty Krosby Mensah for her tremendous effort and fighting for the development of the Afram Plains North and we assure her of the support of the people.
Let it be known that, the days of politics of lies are over and it would take commitment, hard work, truthfulness and commitment to get the people of Afram Plains North and Ghana as a whole, to rally their support behind any politician of the 21st Century Politics. A characteristic we believe the current leadership of the NPP lacks.
Long Live the NDC
Long Live Afram Plains North
Long Live Ghana
