Gov't buried your body, not me - Atta Mortuaryman to family.



Mr. Atta Mortuaryman the Mortuaryman at Nkawkaw Holy Family Hospital who was accused by the family of Affua Attaa that he masterminded the missing of their dead body has come out to break his silence on the accusation. 

Spoke with Torgbui Gadeka of Afram fm 103.3 mhz socio- political show host, According to him, a mass burial was carried out by the hospital due to the fact that the mortuary was full and need to dispose some of the bodies and their body was part of those who mass buried.

A Family members was after an Nkawkaw base Mortuary man by name Atta Mortuaryman with the Holy Family Hospital at Nkawkaw for a corpse the above mentioned left for his care for onward autopsy.

A body of a 35 year old Afua Attaa  was not found at the Holy Family Hospital in Nkawkaw in the Kwahu West Municipality of the Eastern Region.

The Corpse of Afua  Attaa who was been beaten to death by a son of his brother was directed by the  Nkawkaw Magistrate Court to Mortuary for onward postmortem.


She was beaten to death by Kofi Kreman a son of the deceased brother at Kwahu Atuobi-Krom in the same municipality and the region on Saturday 11th December 2021 whom the suspect was arrested and sent to court.

The magistrate court reminded the suspect and directed the prosecutor to do an autopsy on the dead and see what might have triggered her death.

The prosecutor and the family members can't find their dead body in the mortuary where they kept it for preservation.

Upon further interogation, Atta Mortuaryman told the prosecutor and the family that the body  had been retrieve and buried.

The court is also waiting for the autopsy report whether to prosecute or aquit and discharge the suspect, Kofi Kreman of the incident.

According to him, there was a public announcement on the said activity carried out by the institution of which the prosecutor and the family of the deceased did not show up so their body was retrieve for mass burial, and mass burials are sanctioned by government and not him.

The suspect is in the custody of the Nkawkaw Divisional Police.
