E/R: THANK YOU GEORGE YAW OFORI (DCE), OUR LIVES ARE GRADUALLY CHANGING- The people of connected villages

Torgbui Gadeka, the Socio-Political show Host on Afram fm and Gadeka tv online visited some villages in the Kwahu Afram Plains south District as he usually do in order to find out about peoples social problems and also to assess the performance of the District Chief Executive Hon. George Yaw Ofori.

The visit which took three (3) days in about six (6) different villages was full of stories in which i will be writing about soon one after the other but currently let me give my followers this very one by the people of Dortorpong Sikasu,Trebu,Gador-korpe,Ʋudodonu-korpe, Samankwae and Bonkron.

Previously, there was a massive used of kerosene lamp ,solar lamp and generator in our village which could not give us adequate transformations in terms of education, business and social life said by people of Dortorpong sikasu and Gallon 2,Trebu,Bonkron, Ʋudodonu-korpe, Samankwae then to Gador-korpe after they have been connected to the national grid (electricity) for three (3) months down the line in this year 2021.

The socio-political show (Mpu-ne-Mpu) host on Afram fm and Gadeka tv paid a visit to the above villages been connected to the national grid in the Afram Plains south District through the good effort of the District Chief Executive George Yaw Ofori.

The people were very happy and thankful to their DCE for getting them connected to the national grid (electricity).

According to them, those sources of light used by them previously gives out thick dark smoke that slowly causes a black coating on the roof of their house, the walls, the furniture and other household items. It is the commonest type of light used in poor homesteads in the above villages.

Meanwhile, our forests are diminishing because about 95 per cent of the village people's households depend on firewood and charcoal for cooking. The use of lamps as source of lighting and firewood for cooking leads to household air pollution dangerous to human health.

Currently, this rural electrification is an impediment to achieving the desired transformations in the peoples life, which includes the provision of cleaner and more efficient technologies for cooking and lighting in all households

The education is also going to be affected positively because children can learn in the night whiles business also boost because they have started using refrigilators to sell water, soft drinks etc.

Church service on sundays especially has also increased in terms of members and kept on been full of joy as they have started using instruments.

Teachers in those villages are very happy and pledge to help their pupils use the electricity to compete with those in the city because they will use laptops and phones to do neccessary research and as well impact them into the pupils unlike previosly when they can't use their laptops and phone due to no electricity.

Our lives are gradually transforming and we say thank you and God bless all who made it possible especially George Ofori Yaw as well, we plead with the President to maintain him said by the people in the above villages.
