The socio-political show “Mpu- ne- Mpu” host of the reigning radio station in the Eastern region Afram fm 103.3 MHz and Gadeka TV respectively in the Kwahu Afram Plains south District specifically located in Kwahu -Tease the District Capital has come out with the information about the intention of the Nkawkaw based radio station (Okawwu fm 96.3mhz) morning show Host known in the showbiz as Local Chairman General -Akwasi Amoah Nyamekye not to compete in the upcoming FOKLEX MEDIA AWARDS, though he have been nominated for the third time in which he has won two(2) left with the upcoming.

Speaking with Torgbui Gadeka; the multiple awards winner in the Eastern region of Ghana; Local chairman General -Akwasi Amaoh Nyamekye has given a very simple and reasonable brain behind why he has decided not to compete in the upcoming awards.

In his clarifications, he said it is very simple and understanding and i am grateful for the four awards grabbed in the last four years, two from Foklex and the remaining two from ERMEA respectively.

He said I have been advised by my family to pull some breaks here and make way for other potential nominees to have a feel of the award this year he emphasized. 

The Hero in the media fraternity Local Chairman General making references to his awards so far made it clear to Torgbui Gadeka of Afram FM and Gadeka TV respectively that he has some achievements/awards records in the last four years in which he has the following to his credit: 2016/2017 at Hi FM at Kwahu Mpraeso then, was awarded by ERMEA also then his former station an award under Political show program of the year to a show christened “ Nyansapor” which I initiated, started as a Host and left in the early days of 2017 by the dent of  hard work, I received the morning show host in 2017/2018 in Koforidua by the same ERMEA he emphasized again.

He further stated whiles speaking with Torgbui Gadeka that FOKLEX Media Awards gave me the morning show host of the year in 2018/2019.

Local chairman General again stated that in 2019, I received the most valuable personality of the year in Nkawkaw by ERMEA and most recently, Foklex Media Awards at its 2019/2020 awards night gave me the morning show host of the year.

He furthermore stated that the icing on the cake is a wonderful award I received from a reputable media college, EPM on 5th May, 2018 as one of the best ten (10) journalists in the Kwahu bloc. On the 30th November, 2018, a reputable blogger with web site: www.kumikasa.com placed the radio Legend Local Chairman General at the number one spot /position when he conducted the top 10 morning show hosts in the region he added.

I witnessed a very disturbing attitude of some Executives of the Eastern region during the vetting of the Afram Plains South Parliamentary aspirants. I picked on only that Constituency because it is one of the NDC’s strong holds which has lately seen a lot of bashing on the backs of its MP, Joseph Appiah Boateng.  The incumbent on his first attempt did not belong to any branch or obtained a party card but in just 2 months was allowed to contest even with criminal records which the Former General Secretary, Mr. Asiedu Nketia jaws prevy to and made some very genuine claims about this same MP, Joseph Appiah Boateng,Hon. Eric Osei Owusu also contested on similar grounds with no party affliction to branch or bearing a party card.
